This is ideal for first-time visitors to North India who only have a short amount of time, taking in all of the highlights including the Taj Mahal, Jaipur’s palaces and Ranthambhore National Park. Starting in the capital New Delhi, where a walking tour of Old Delhi will reveal a world that most visitors just pass through, you travel south taking the train to Agra and the Taj Mahal. You will then travel into rural Rajasthan and to Ranthambhore National Park, where you will go on the trail of the elusive tiger and see some of India’s less well known wildlife. The final stop before returning to Delhi is Jaipur which is famous for its wonderful palaces.

DAY 1 - DELHI
On arrival you will met and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure, you might like to head to Lodi Gardens a great place to go for a stroll and have taste of Delhi life.

DAY 2 – DELHI
ToDay you will have a guided tour of the capital which will highlight the great contrasts between Old and New Delhi. This includes includes the enormous Jama Masjid from which you will walk through the bazaars and narrow streets - a great way to absorb the sights and sounds of Old Delhi. You will also see the monumental buildings set along wide boulevards of Lutyens` New Delhi including India Gate and the President`s residence.

DAY 3 – AGRA
Early morning express train to Agra. You will be met on arrival and enjoy a guided tour of Agra, including, of course, a visit to the legendary Taj Mahal, built as a memorial to the wife of Shah Jehan. You will also see the Red Fort, set further along the Yamuna River, and I`tma-ud-daulah, sometimes known as `Baby Taj`.

DAY 4 - RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK
Make the short drive to Bharatpur, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful deserted capital of Emperor Akbar, abandoned when water supplies dried up. Take the train to Sawai Madhopur where you will be met on the platform and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 5 - RANTHAMBHORE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will have morning and afternoon game drives in Ranthambhore, on the trail of the elusive tiger and other wildlife.

DAY 6 - JAIPUR
Final morning game drive in Ranthambhore. After breakfast and the chance to freshen up you will drive to Jaipur, the `Pink City` and capital of Rajasthan.

DAY 7 –JAIPUR
This morning you will visit the magnificent Amber Palace with your guide. Capital of the Kachhawaha Rajputs until 1727, there are great views from the top. Later, back in Jaipur, you will discover the treasures of the City Palace which houses an important museum, the intricate facade of The Palace of the Winds and the fascinating observatory.

DAY 8 - DELHI
ToDay you can have a leisurely morning, either explore Jaipur's bazaars and picking up any souvenirs, before returning to Delhi by road.

DAY 9 – DEPART DELHI
This morning you will be met at your hotel and taken to the airport where you will catch your return flight, arriving home the same Day.
